Get Inbound Links

Throughout my entrepreneurial career, I have yet to out spend my income when investing in professional and personal development. I have found that investing in my continuing education and dedicating myself to lifelong learning has always grown my business and therefore my income. When I made the decision to work online, I determined that I would learn from the very best mentors and verified gurus I could find and share what I learned with others. I have made this my daily practice coupled with my personal experiences to help other create successes of their own.

I want to share a lesson from Don Crowther, a faculty member at Stomper Net. I have purchased training and been a member of the Stomper Net community since 2008, I continue to benefited to the quality of their programs. I pulled out my notes as I am focusing on inbound links as I continue to evolve my blog and decided to share ten specific strategies detailed in this lesson on my podcast today. The creation of quality incoming links is a key component to attracting traffic and bringing authority to your blog. If you are looking for a clever new way to trick the search engines this will not be the post for you; however, if you are looking for an actionable blueprint that will result in thousands of quality inbound links, you should keep reading this post.

The foundation for attracting quality inbound links is your content itself, be sure to develop content that is worthy of being linked to by others. The research done at Stomper Net has shown that certain types of content generates links naturally. I have found that posting topics that address two basic needs provide the most traction. The first is “how to” content and the second is a solution to a problem your market trying to solve, for example “how to get more traffic and increase conversions?”

Here is a list of ten content categories that will transform your blog into a link magnet.

1. Product or Service Reviews: If you love helping people, posting product and service reviews is a great way to share with others what is working in your business. I post a large number of reviews on my blog and I am always eager to share with my readers resources that are allowing me to grow my business with advice on how to take immediate action.

I tend to focus on what is working – on the positive; however, from the perspective of building a readership you might want to be a little creative and also post critical reviews when appropriate as controversy does tend to draw a crowd. I am not suggesting that you create content that seeks to discredit the efforts of others, but constructive advice is always appreciated when done with integrity.

2. Comparison Tables: One sure way to add impact to your blog is by adding graphics such as comparison tables on your post. Readers like visual tools when used to illuminate differences between the products and services being compared, it allows your reader to quickly identify the choice the best fits their objectives with out reading a long text heavy post.

3. Your Blog Voice: Every blog has a voice, some are intended and others are completely:

  1. Controversial – Don’t be afraid to ruffle a few feathers or take a contrary opinion to the masses.
  2. Consistent – Focus on consistency both in your voice and frequency of posting to your blog.
  3. Clever – Be original! If your blog is just a collection of recycled content you will not grow an audience.
  4. Connected – Create a web of links to other authority bloggers in your niche by reading and commenting on their blogs.

4. How to Choose Articles: If you want to grow your readership fast help people understand “how to” do what you know how to do. Once you have attracted a reader to your blog it is critical that you deliver value and make a strong first impression.

5. Top List (top 5,7,10, etc.): We have been conditioned to love list often presented as top 10 list or the best of list and you can deliver tremendous value in your blog and attract endless incoming links to your list. Invest some time to uncover what people are searching for, compile a list of the best solutions and publish that list in your post. This can be a home run for you.

6. Best of the Web List: In recent months I have personally used social book marketing tools like Stumble Upon to bookmark best of the web list more than any other category of content. The possibilities are endless; best blog themes, best Twitter tools, best blog graphics, best hosting services, best email marketing system, etc. popular categories always get re-tweeted and book marked, which can result in a bounty of fresh inbound links for your blog.

7. Product Selection Wizards: Helping your readers walk through a organized series of steps to evaluate the benefits, features, pros or cons of a product, while helping them to arrive at a logical conclusion is a great way to provide valuable content. If you highlight quality products that you have personally used in your business and share your knowledge, you can win the loyal readership in your niche and establish authority.

The elements of a good selection wizard include questions that identify the specific problem solved, opportunity to leverage, technical requirements, desired features. In the end you should be prepared to make a recommendation of one or more options for your reader.

8. Collected Consumer Review: Surveying your readership or subscribers to your list is a great way to bring authority to your blog and encourage inbound links.

9. Case Studies: These can be a powerful way of supporting your conclusions much like testimonials but perceived to be less biased. If you can a little research and identify third party validation through published case studies or document those of your clients you add tremendous credibility to your blog content.

10. Interviews: This is one of my favorite methods for creating quality content and is one of the reasons I podcast on a regular basis. There a number of free and easy to use methods to

Discover Voice Broadcasting

Discover Voice Broadcasting

There are a number of methods you can use to attract qualified prospects to your websites, blogs, and online offers, but few are more effective than voice broadcasting. I was first introduced to voice broadcasting  in early 2008 and I have never looked back. The platform that I use is iBuzz Pro Tools, which has been designed by marketers for marketers allowing me to maximize this system without adapting a more general platform which was very important to me.

So what is so great about voice broadcasting? Along with pay per click advertising, voice broadcasting is perhaps the the most cost effective way place your message in front of your target market and presort prospects and speak only with those that are pre-qualified for your business.

Here is how I use voice broadcasting to ensure that I have 20-30 pre-qualified prospects to move through my sales funnel every week with less than thirty minutes of work per week.

Step 1. I start with a QUALITY and targeted list of  known networkers list obtained from a credible sources. I have invested  allot of time identifying sources that offer leads that have not been oversold, are fresh and responsive.

Step 2 . I avoid broadcasting to “opportunity seekers” using this method, I want to attract serious business minded people looking for a business and system to allow them to build a solid business and meaningful income.

Step 3. When recording my out bound messages, I carefully choose my words and focus on solving what I know is the number one problem direct sales and network marketers face – lead poverty! Most people do not have enough people to talk to each day to have much hope of building a business that will generate the level of income that they hoped for when they started their business.

Step 4. I use an 800 number with extensions set up for the specific list I am broadcasting to and specifically addressing what I presume to be their biggest challenges. I will cover this in greater detail in a future post as it is the key to high conversions.

Step 5. I invite my prospects to obtain more information that is self directed, meaning a special web page or blog post, I also give the fast action takers the option of contacting me directly by leaving a voice message, which I immediately return.

There is an alternative which is to offer a prospect to be immediately transfered to my cell phone by simply pressing a button their phone, but with so many leads coming in during a campaign 90% of those take this option would receive my voice message with me tied up in a conversation with another prospect. I have found that the sizzle message and voice mail option works best.

Step 6. When I return the prospects call I am mindful that this interaction is not about me, it is about the challenges my prospect (remember, this is a known networker, meaning they already are in a business) is facing, an opportunity to build trust, and to determine if I can offer a solution. The initial conversation is alway about fact finding and adding value first and foremost.

Step 7. I seek to provide solutions for the prospect. There are many potential outcomes to this interaction one of which is that we may not be a fit of any kind, which is fine, a lead generated with this method cost me about thirty cents! So, if I’ve attracted a prospect, had a nice conversation, and offered some free advice everyone can walk away satisfied - this doesn’t happen to me very often.

There are three likely outcomes for the majority of prospects that make it to this stage in my marketing funnel.

1. My prospect recognizes the powerful method I used to attract them and they want this system for themselves, which is fine as a re-seller option is available when purchasing the  iBuzz Tools system. They may chose not to join my team, but they want my system to allow them to solve their lead poverty problem.

2.My propsect likes the business that I have marketed to the and they decide to join my team.

3. My prospect likes that business that I marketed to them and see that I have a system to ensure that they will have an endless stream of prospects and no more lead poverty. They decide to join my team, make the comparatively small investment to purchase the voice broadcasting system and put the entire system into action in their business – a total home run!

There have been a number of recent changes that have affected marketers that participate in pay per click campaigns for business opportunities, especially if replicated pages are being used in the ad campaign. It is becoming more difficult to conduct cost effective campaigns that result in a first or second page rank. I have found that voice broadcast offers the perfect alternative for those looking to leverage the internet to attract targeted prospects for less than a dollar per lead.

As stated in this post, I an actual user of this system as well as a reseller. I do offer one on one coaching to help my clients set up their campaigns and develop their message scripts. In addition, I offer a lead buying pool option that dramatically lowers the cost of quality lead list and occasionally run shared  campaigns, which can result in higher conversions for new users of the system.

The new FTC rules go into affect on December 1, 2009 and they will directly impact the design of your webpages, blog post, and sales pages. It really doesn’t matter if you are product creator and owner or an affiliate marketer, if you use endorsements or testimonials you must understand these changes and know how to market within the guidelines.

Kevin E. Houchin, Esq is my favorite type of person, a multi-talented, renaissance man who follows his passions in the practice of law, author, coach, teacher, marketer, designer, and artist. I love best practice models, the challenge of pushing the envelope to find new and better ways to accomplish task. When put into practice you can establish more efficient and affective ways to accomplish your objectives – my definition, not from Websters dictionary. The timing and early release of “The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords 2010 Edition” by Perry Marshall couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. There are so many changes that have a dramatic impact on Internet Marketers largely owning to a series of algorithmic changes or “slaps” implemented by Google. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will note several changes as I have re branded the ”Internet Business Blueprint” to more accurately reflect the market that I seek to serve . I have been extremely busy over the past few weeks working specifically on my business model and sales funnel to close the year strong and ensure that I am in a position to add maximum value for my clients, associates, and readers in 2010. This hass been a year of great learning and progress and I have appreciated getting to know so many new associates and working with some amazing clients. The best part is that we are just at the beginning!

In addition to a new theme, you will also note that I have added a number of resource recommendations by category in the form of banners and direct links on the side bar of each page. Truthfully, I wavered back and forth on posting so many banners wondering if it was too much; too many banners, too many choices, etc. In the end I had to revisit my core purpose for this blog and the work I do. I am here to help people learn how to make money using the internet to leverage both online and offline business opportunities. Providing my personal recommendations for products, services, and resources I use in my business everyday is consistent with my purpose.

One of the changes you will find going forward is that the content of this blog will be more focused on Internet Marketing anf Affiliate Markeiting with new content for network marketing to be found at MLM Mastermind Training and my prosperity and mindset training to be found at Supermind Success. This doesn’t mean that you will not find references to either of these topics on my blog from time to time, but the core content and resources for these niches will be dedicated to separate blogsites. I would encourage you to visit them often as they continue to evolve.

I want to be transparent about affiliate marketing consistent with my long established practice and in light of the new FTC regulations. All of products and resources I review and ultimately recommend have been utilized in my businesses and proven to be effective at delivering upon what has been advertised and promised by the developer.

Ideally, I seek to use and recommend products and services that provide a recursive income streams as part of my overall business funnel – I am an affiliate marketer after all. This is the exact method I teach to everyone who I work with and this further allows me to demonstrate the success of my business model.

My Simple Formula

Isn’t It Time You Produced A Product?

One of the biggest mistakes I made with my online business was waiting so long to release a product of mine own.

The next mistake I made was taking so long to realize that a membership site is the best product to sell online.

Learn from my hindsight, commit to releasing a product this year and make it a membership site.

If you’re a blogger, then you are in a particularly good situation since you can use your blog as a launchpad for your membership site. Since you are already familiar with blogging tools like WordPress, which is what I use to store the content of my membership sites, you have another advantage.

You don’t need to have a blog to make this work of course, but if you’re into blogging and you’re going to create your own product, then this is definitely the best product-creation training to take since it’s created by a blogger (that’s me).
