I’ve been a member of Russell Brunson’s Dot Com Secrets X for 30 Days

Last month I posted a review of Russell Brunson’s newly released Dot Com Secrets X titled “I Purchased This for $1 and You Should Too” and the feed back was great. Today, I am posting a review of my first 30 days as a member of this coaching program and membership site, which has been eye opening for me and should help you in making the right decision for to join yourself.

My first ‘virtual mentor’ in Internet Marketing was Russell Brunson the creator of Dot Com Secrets and one of the most respected online marketers in the industry… that was in 2008. Who Are the Top 10 Internet Marketers to Watch 2011

A top ten list of internet marketers is always subjective and I am certain you will have a name or two to add to my list. From where I sit here are the top 10 Internet marketers to watch in the later half of 2011 and beyond. This is not a Internet Marketing Popularity list or a list of social media celebrities, I will get to that in a future blog post. I have compiled this list based on two key criteria; first, these marketers have a proven track record of creating products, tools, and resources that work. Second, every person on this list has a proven training system(s) that have successfully taught others how to make money as well.

01. Jeremy Shoemaker – Through his brand ShoeMoney, Jeremy is the real deal and delivers amazing value in both his free and paid courses and other online resources. The ShoeMoney Blog is among the most popular with experienced Internet marketers and entrepreneurs. Jeremy has a very compelling personal story and appeals to me as being “real” as well as a very creative and accomplished marketer. He sincere desire to serve his follows puts him on my list of recommended marketers.

02. Ewen Chia -I read a book almost 2 years ago that completely changed the way I looked at the Internet; the book was called “How I Made My First Million on the Internet” by Ewen Chia and it was as if I had just been the keys to unlock affiliate marketing success. 07. Bill McRea – Automated software is the latest frontier for online marketers. Many of the methods that marketers have used in the past 3 to 5 years are no longer effective and the leveraging points using website traffic and automation software has become the tipping point. Bill is at the leading edge of the next big opportunity online and therefore worthy of inclusion on my list.

Ryan Deiss – I have purchased more than half a dozen products from Ryan Deiss over the past couple of years and I highly recommend his products because they provide practical, no-nonsense tips, and resource recommendations to create sustainable income online. Through a couple transitions over the past two years, Ryan’s business and influence has grown.

09. Mike G (Glaspie) – I recently met Mike G although I have been aware of him from my earliest days online. Over the past decade that list has grown to nearly 1 million people, many of whom have been able to achieve full-time incomes working with Mike G through his coaching programs and income programs.

10. Russell Brunson – Russell Brunson briefly disappeared from my top 10 list in 2010 as it seemed the team the Dot Com Secrets and Second Tier team where revising there platform. I noticed that Russell removed some of the dated products from the market and even sold off his popular forum site. I recently reviewed the new platform as an affiliate saw a glimpse of what is on the agenda in the months ahead. I don’t think all of their systems are set to promote, but I would keep an eye on this as a very solid affiliate program to add to your funnel. For now, I would suggest taking a tour and opting into their training and take action on what you learn.

It really isn’t that difficult to do the right thing – agreed? I was reading a blog post by my friend Jon Olson on ‘Hit Exchange News‘ titled “The Biggest Joke In Internet Marketing” and the topic is on product launches in the Internet Marketing industry. It is a very interesting topic and there certainly remains plenty of room for improvement among both large and small marketers in our niche.

For all of the finger pointing and thoughts about Internet marketing tactics, I would like to propose a simple little test to guide all marketers on how to serve their customers and a basis for their customers to evaluate marketers and launches.

Marketers: First Examine Your Motives

1. Do your motives originate from truth?

2. Do your motives foster fairness for everyone concerned?

3. Do your motives build value for your customers and associates?

Marketers: Second Examine Your Actions

1. Will your actions support a worthy long-term objectives?

2. Will your actions be responsible for harming another person?

3. Will your actions deliver value for your marketplace?

I have spent thousands of dollars over the years on my online education. I have purchased $7 reports and $2,000 courses and I can tell you that I have gotten considerable value from 95% of everything I have received. I have purchased from unknown marketers and gurus like Yanick Silver, Frank Kern, Russell Brunson, Eben Pagan, Mike Filsaime, Perry Belcher, and Ryan  Deiss. Again, I have received considerable vaule from 95% of these products.

So what is the secret?

I have added myself to the equation! Which is to say that I have actually unpackaged (or downloaded) and studied the material, I have tested and split-tested the recommendations. I have discarded what did not work for me and taken massive action on the strategies, tactics and advice that have yielded results. I have taken a long-term view on my business, not looking for overnight riches, but rather leaning skills and concepts to build a sustainable online business.

I write this post not to defend the “Guru Marketer,” there is plenty to criticize in the make money niche to be sure. But I will say that I think painting the most successful Internet marketers with a broad brush of conspiracy and shame is too easy to do and too often done without supporting facts. In the end this doesn’t serve anyone – especially the newbie online seeker for whom it is presumed to forewarn.

I just finished watching a powerful 51 minute video presentation by Russell Brunson on the topic  “Micro-Continuity.” If you are like me you likely are a member of more than one continuity program, which is basically a monthly subscription to access to a members only website where you access content pertaining to a niche or specific aspect of marketing, product creation, etc.

The marketplace is very competitive and it becomes a challenge for many to afford more than a few of these programs, which on average range anywhere from $17 to $97 per month and present a tremendous value for what you receive. So what should you do if you are introducing a new program and the budgets of your potential members are already being tapped? The answer should be “Micro-Continuity.”

Russell Brunson has added a little twist to  the basic monthly continuity model by advocating for a fixed period for the program.
