Internet Marketers: Do Your Motives and Actions Pass This Test?

It really isn’t that difficult to do the right thing – agreed? I was reading a blog post by my friend Jon Olson on ‘Hit Exchange News’ titled “The Biggest Joke In Internet Marketing” and the topic is on product launches in the Internet Marketing industry. It is a very interesting topic and there certainly remains plenty of room for improvement among both large and small marketers in our niche. For all of the finger pointing and thoughts about Internet marketing tactics, I would like to propose a simple little test to guide all marketers on how to serve their customers and a basis for their customers to evaluate marketers and launches.

Marketers: First Examine Your Motives

1. Do your motives originate from truth?

2. Do your motives foster fairness for everyone concerned?

3. Do your motives build value for your customers and associates?

Marketers: Second Examine Your Actions

1. Will your actions support a worthy long-term objectives?

2. Will your actions be responsible for harming another person?

3. Will your actions deliver value for your marketplace?

Perry Belcher R.I.P.

Perry Belcher effectively retired from Internet marketing in 2009, yet that which he and Ryan Diess created during their collaboration has continued to impact marketers around the world. I have spent much of the past few weeks evaluating what worked in my business in 2010 and what needs more of my attention. In addition to completing the standard analysis, where did my traffic come, what is the profile of the customers I attracted, which marketing efforts provided the best results, etc., I also looked at a few intangibles.

I looked back to see what training programs I was able to gain the most value from and which provided me with actionable content that resulted in moving my business forward. I was actually a little surprised by how much I gained from re-listening to “Automatic Daily Income” and “Getting Money From Google,” I purchased both of these courses a longtime ago and found them worth coming back to again and again.

I also gained alot from my personal interactions with Perry Belcher – I interviewed him for my Internet Business Blueprint podcast on the eve of his final product launch with Ryan Diess in 2009. During the lead up to that program, I had a couple of great telephone conversations with Perry from which I gleaned several golden nuggets on marketing and social media. The lessons from those conversations contained principles that I still teach today.

Responce to “Perry Belcher Unplugged” Could Be Late July Fireworks!

We have a very interesting guest joining us on Monday July 20, 2009 and there could be Late July Fireworks! I began promoting that Social Media Expert and Internet Marketing Guru Perry Belcher would be my special guest for a special one hour edition of the “Internet Business Blueprint” podcast, which I host every weekday. The responses I have received on Twitter have been more than interesting and will no doubt add a new twist to Perry appearance on the program.

My intention for inviting Perry on the program was to share my positive experience with others and allow my listeners to call in to ask Perry questions, chat with feedback, and benefit from the knowledge of someone who has produced tremendous results with consistency. There are literally ten of thousands of people trying to figure out how to make social media work, how to leverage it to build their brand and drive sales in their businesses. I felt that having Perry on the show would provide a unique opportunity to benefit a large number of entrepreneurs.
