Internet Business Blueprint - Internet Marketing, Viral List Building, Social Media Mastery

Dr. Jeffrey Lant Is An Acquired Taste But Not A Scam Artist

Dr. Jeffrey Lant co-founded Worldprofit in 1994 and has served as CEO for 16 years. Anyone who has developed a Internet business that has brought over one-million associate members through it’s sales process certainly understands marketing and doesn’t need me to defend him here. However, I am annoyed enough by a few silly and unsubstantiated comments that I have read concerning Dr. Lant that I decided to shed some light here and perhaps vent a little.

Worldprofit was created by a group of home business experts to provide a turnkey solution to help individuals who desire to create a real and sustainable business online. Worldprofit uses a unique and one of a kind method to convert free associates to dealers or paid members and it is this method that has both made Worldprofit incredibly successful and Dr. Lant somewhat controversial.

First, let me explain their unique “Live Business Center,” which is supervised by live monitors 24 each day, 7 days each week (other paid members) and Dr. Lant himself. The advantage of their system to the prospective member is both transparency (the sales process takes place in plain site for all the world to see) coupled with a supported call to action – we all know that people often fail to take action.

So where is the rub? Dr. Lant can be a little rude, condescending at times and always impatient… this is just the truth, but he is equally committed, supportive, generousblatantly honest, motivational and a true marketing genius. YOU must draw your own conclusions when evaluating Dr. Lant as a mentor and Worldprofit as a busniness model for you.

Personally, I spent weeks actually investigating the facts about Worldprofit and Dr. Jeffrey Lant before deciding to join Worldprofit and I believe I made a great decision by doing so. I want to share my view of Dr. Lant with you, which I think you will find more useful than many of the cliche and unsubstantiated comments you will no doubt discover online.

“Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” …

“Coaches who can outline plays on a black board are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their player and motivate.” - Vince Lombardi, Coach Green Bay Packers

Dr. Lant reminds me of my freshman high school football coach who used to say some of the most rude, condescending and motivational words I have ever heard come from a leader… sound familiar? What I learned from my football coach as a young, talented, but undeveloped athlete forced me to grow beyond my own self-limiting beliefs… get the lesson here?

I could go on in volumes here – I think it would serve you far more to let the facts speak for themselves and I would encourage anyone considering Worldprofit to do their own homework, just as I have done. ALL of the FACTS you need are easily available online from the comfort of your home computer.

Here is a little guide to the factual claims and where to find the third party information to discover the truth for yourself.

Fact #1. Worldprofit is one of the longest standing e-commerce companies on the Internet founded in 1994

Fact #2. Worldprofit has been BBB Accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 11-10-2000

Fact #3. Worldprofit is the #2 home business (by pier group) according to Alexa with a Worldwide Ranking of 11,241

Fact #4. Dr. Jeffrey Lant is in-fact a Harvard Graduate (I confirmed this through the Harvard Alumni Association)

Fact #5. Thousands of people have made real income by applying themselves to Worldprofit’s “Millionaire Bootcamp” taught by George Kosch. many of these individuals have failed time and again for the lack of focus training and a supportive community, which they have found at Worldprofit.

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

- John Wooden, Coach UCLA Bruins

My final bit of advice is that you read all that you find while investigating Worldprofit – the good, the bad and the neutral. Notice that the personal attacks on Dr. Lant tend to be extreme, childish and lack any real facts to back up their comments and claims – most people are smart enough to read between the lines.

My personal experience with Worldprofit has been very positive, I made money on my third day, have helped others do the same, have benefited from the ClickBank tools and other automated SEO and Marketing Systems included in the package to promote my primary business. I can honestly say that Worldprofit has over-delivered thus far and I have only scratched the surface.

This is the BEST review of Worldprofit I’ve ever read.

Your real research and honest, detail provided to give great in site of how the company and the character of the people is amazing.

I’ve been member, dealer and customer of Worldprofit and have always said that they are not getting the true recognition that they deserve. they are really under represented because the are more powerful than most even realize.

thank you for such a great posting, article, review.

    Arvell –

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for providing your comments. I approached Worldprofit as I would any other business venture and completed a rather exhaustive due diligence process prior to joining. I believe this process empowers me with the authority to write this post.

I found that any negative feedback that I discovered in other blog posts, forums, etc. (There were very few) were either old, from people who only tried Worldprofit for 30 days – not enough time to judge ANY business, or centered on Dr. Lant’s perceived personality.

I wanted to share my findings so that those looking for the truth could make their determination based on solid facts, not myth or theory. People need real help and real answers.

Please come back anytime and share your thoughts!

I, too, have found blog postings etc. regarding Dr. Lant and Worldprofit that
were less than complimentary, but was able to read between the lines.

A true fact of life is that a disgruntled person will always disparage that which
they are unhappy about, but one who is satisfied rarely speaks up!

I have been a dealer at Worldprofit for over a year now, and only wish I had found them before I wasted thousands of dollars on here today, gone tomorrow programs that litter the internet.

It is a WAY better feeling to be profiting instead of losing.

Thank You for a great, informative posting!!

    To Our Success,

Great Article and Clearly covered it all in a Nutshell with nothing but the Facts and Truth. James what an Awesome Job in writing the Article and I am sure to listen up when you speak. Thanks!

  • Steve Joyner

Great article James and I will be forwarding it to a lot of others in hopes of opening their eyes to the true potential at Worldprofit. I have been with Worldprofit for less than a year now and have also been making money starting the first month as a Dealer and proud owner of my Platnium package. Worldprofit as you have clarified is truly a unique and prosperous business model than anyone can do if they apply the lessons and grow in knowledge. Other marketers need help and Worldprofit and the Leadership provide an excellent service of help to those that realize their own potential. I hope that we as members will be able to help all that cross our paths in the future. Once again great article and will be back to read more of your inspiring wisdom….sjj

Great research and presentation James! I think I saw you as a monitor as you with Dr. Lant talking about his new addition of art masterpieces. He was looking for the invoice.

Dr. Lant is in fact an Icon of modern time on-line business. (as well are both George Kosch and Sandi Hunter for that matter). What better way to describe Dr. Lant than to quote those who came before him but yet talked about him.

Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.
    Albert Einstein
If anyone knows Dr. Laut knows that he is not weak on attitude or character.

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.
Dr. Lant conducts his life helping others create their small opportunities to help them create their own personal great enterprises. Helping others to follow their dreams and goals helped him create his.

When you know what you want, and you want it badly enough, you’ll find a way to get it.
    Jim Rohn …
In so many words, this is what Dr. Lant always tells people who want in on his program but are held back for some reason.

…Which goes with…. What Ben Franklin said, “Never confuse motion with action.”…

Now, one last thing about Dr. Lant that most everyone will agree…
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

    And now, one For George,
If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough

I couldn’t have explained George’s teaching technique any simpler. George KNOWS what he is talking/teaching about because he CREATED IT. Reminds me of my Air Force Career where Training is the KEY to Success and therefore Freedom.

It is very rewarding to know that such extensive research was conducted and true and accurate information is available to the public.

As for me, when I saw Worldprofit, I thought if it is half as good as it sounds it would be the best opportunity on the net. I instantly jumped in with both feet and not a hint of research. As I learned more and more about Worldprofit, I realized it was far more than I ever expected or hoped for. A truly unique community with all the tools, training and help that anyone could ever need.

As far as Dr. Lant, It is a fact that he often seems a little rude or harsh. But, I don’t think there is a CEO anywhere that cares more or works harder for the benefit of all than he. He is a remarkable human being that has helped more people over the last 16 years than probably anyone else on the net. Knowing that what people see, although quite impressive, does not even scratch the surface as to what Worldprifit really offers. It is easy to understand his frustrations and impatience. With himself and his whole community standing at the ready to insure the profitability of all the members, it is, in my opinion justified to react in such a fashion when confronted with sarcasm and negativity.

World profit is absolutely the best thing that I have ever come across and I really appreciate someone taking the time to do the research to verify and substantiate that fact. Thanks again for proving what I already knew.

I agree with your analysis, James.

It is interesting how many people make a habit of complaining. And how few use their supposed knowledge to build a better offer.

It is too bad for the few people who take advice from losers. But that demonstrates the excellent value of due diligence — Thanks James.

I was brought to tears James. You articulated all that I have been saying, teaching and preaching for 2 years now. I also did an article about my Journey in Internet Marketing, which is filled with gratitude to Worldprofit and all they have taught me…I also submitted my article to I wanted those who have lied about Dr Lant and Worldprofit to see the truth. It is my theme for my blog also. It can be found at http://blog.cyberwealthzonecom, if you would like to see it. Thank you for you insight and considerable homework. You are much appreciated at Worldprofit and by me. Robert & Linda Elze

  • Christopher Ninnis

    Great review James
I have been a member at Worldprofit for almost 12 months and I can honestly say I have never found anything to compare with them.
After 8 years and well over $8500 down the drain with other so called income opportunities this is the only company that has helped me make money on a regular basis.

  • JamesHolmes

Lance – Thank you my friend. You are a great example of the people who make up the Worldprofit Community. Your focused adherence to the boot-camp and daily method of operation is proving to be very effective based on the leader board. Thank you for commenting!

  • JamesHolmes

Frank – Thank you for commenting. I was inspired to “do my homework” and ultimately write this post as a result of those very blog post you speak about. What I have found about the great majority of those postings… and considering that Dr.Lant co-founded Worldprofit 16 years ago… there are really all that many… the authors have zero facts and it is 100% unfounded opinion. When you create a massive success, you will always have a few detractors. This unfortunately is human nature.

  • JamesHolmes

Mike – Hopefully you are not too surprised that I would post your comment. Here is the basic fact… Sitting in front of the computer and helping prospects evaluate and enroll into Worldprofit is one of Dr. Lant’s primary responsibilities as CEO… he has been doing just that for 16 years now. So, asking your question another way would be like saying… what airline pilot sits in the cockpit and flies all over the country every day… or what is Warren Buffet doing sitting in front of a computer analyzing charts all day… or what is Steve Jobs doing developing the next big thing every day. I think you get my point. I appreciate and welcome all opinions here.

  • JamesHolmes

Steve – Thank you for your humbling comments… I really appreciate every word. Our experience is parallel, in that I made my money back on my third day, upgraded to Platinum and in my second month added more than $600 to my bank account and that is all with my first 60 days at Worldprofit. This is just the beginning and it gives me the authority of personal experience tell people just how powerful Worldprofit’s model is. I can’t wait to see what my WP business looks like 12 months from now.

  • JamesHolmes

Wow Glen – Perfectly stated and you are so right. There is something in human nature that causes some to focus on the negative, be skeptical, or just plan guilty of jumping on a bandwagon they know nothing about. Congratulations to you for 30 “full-time” in your business and I know that you have achieved this in part based on your entrepreneurs mindset, which is apparent (I checked out your sites). Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and post your comments!

  • JamesHolmes

Doyle – Thank you for your comments! I think a big turning point for Worldprofit has been the partnership with ClickBank and the automated SEO tools… this has just occurred over the last 18 months (give or take) and anyone who hasn’t looked at Worldprofit since these new and dynamic features have been added… doesn’t know Wordprofit at all. Truly an over delivery on the front-end promises. Your comments concerning Dr. Lant are exactly as I have experienced personally.

  • JamesHolmes

Christopher – Thank you for sharing a little about your personal story. There are so many people who have had much the same experience… most have at least to some degree. The Internet can be a little treacherous at times. The important fact is that you did not throw in the towel and as a result, you found a home online and are enjoying success at last! I appreciate your visiting my blog and commenting.

  • JamesHolmes

Thomas – Thank you for your powerful contribution to this conversation! I love the information and wisdom contained in the links you provided – very poignant and worth remembering. One thing you have proven with the selection of quotes and philosophies you shared is… that the wisdom spans the centuries and applies no less to where we find ourselves today. Brilliant little gem of scholarship here!

  • Jim Grant

I’ve also been a member of WorldProfit for about a year and a half. I see the real value in this area of the internet. A big problem with our world today is to many people want, not enough of us do. WorldProfit concentrates on the do!

  • Dale Thomson

Could not agree with your assesment more. I have been a dealer now for 10 months and I can honestly say that I have made more money from Worldprofit ( although not as much as I would like but only have myself to blame for that) than any other business I have promoted online. Dr Lant when I first met him turned me off right away. But as I got to know him and understood how passionate he is about helping people get to live the life that God put on on this earth to live full of abundance, I then understood him to a much greater degree. He is one that beleives in everyone and wants to push them to think outside the box. To do things they did not think they could do and therefore become more successful than the ever imagined. Great job in your review my friend! I think you hit it right on the head!

  • JamesHolmes

Jim – Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. I have also observed this to be true… I think that we can have the most impact by helping others take action and setting measurable and achievable goals for their online businesses.

  • JamesHolmes

Dale – I appreciate you for stopping by my blog and providing such well stated comments. First impressions are important, but I have found for better or worse the true intentions of an individual will always reveal themselves over time. Thinking outside of the box leads to quantum leaps forward in business and life!

  • Wayne John

Funny that each commentator so far is also a member of WorldProfit…nothing from outside the company, until this comment.

You know I’m a complete disbeliever of Lant’s system and believe it only makes himself, and others like you perhaps, money. The fact is that when you’re in that video thing he does to subscribe people, he is completely rude, and in fact, pressuring. He’s pressuring you into spending your money.

That’s not a salesman, that’s a sleaze bag who preys on those that don’t have the first clue how to work the Internet.

I know how to work the Internet, and his tools are nothing more than smoke and mirrors. No real substance to the products that I can see from the outside…of course I’m not giving my money over to you guys…it would be a complete waste. Not only because I can do everything you’re doing, but because the tools and services aren’t good.

If I can tell from the outside, Lant isn’t such the god of a marketer as you all pump him up to be.

I’d elaborate, but I’m done wasting my time trying to save people from making a bad mistake and joining up with WorldProfit.

So, the question is, are you going to allow a negative comment to be posted? If you don’t, I’ll know exactly why, and I’ll probably continue doing that thing I love to do just to spite WP.

  • JamesHolmes

Hello Wayne – First, I am glad you visited my blog and took the time to red my post and to leave a comment. As I said in the comment I left on your bog, I think you seem like a sincere guy and I actually have read a variety of your post and comments not just the one related to Dr. Lant. If you have taken the time to get to know me at all – you should not be surprised that I “approved” your comment. My integrity would not allow me to only publish the positive comments or just the opinions of those who a agree with me – what value would that bring to the dialogue?

I have offered constructive comments supported by facts on your blog regarding Dr. Lant and also Garry Conn’s blog and one other – NONE of which where approved to be read as another point of view (from someone actually in the program), which I can only conclude calls into question the whole intent of a small group of marketers fixated on Dr. Lant’s personality and success. What I have found is that the great majority of the small and vocal naysayers have either NEVER evaluated Worldprofit from “the inside” or “tried it” for one month and quite because they didn’t become rich. Any legitimate program takes time to learn and produce results.

I respect you as a marketer and I actually have used one of Garry Conn’s Ad Sense themes for one one my sites. I have read both of your blogs and left constructive comments and I am FOR SURE not here to pick a fight with you guys… it is not about me. Recently I decided to see if the old theory of “he who lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones” would apply here. I WAS SHOCKED! Where there is no tangible proof for the wild claims and bizarre stories about Dr. Lant on Garry’s blog… the post you guys seem to be in love with… I ran a Google search for “Garry Conn Scam” and found two sites where the bloggers actually posted copies of e-mails from Garry and Court related documents accusing Garry of the same things that he speculates Dr. Lant and Worldprofit “may do” … and and several more.

My only concern is that there are a few people who enjoy all of the traffic they are getting from trashing Dr. Lant with no real “inside knowledge” of how Worldprofit works. If you have not evaluated Worldprofit in the last 16 months since they essentially have placed Automated SEO and ClickBank in the back end – then you really do not know anything about them at all.

Here is my final word and it is an offer to you both.

Anytime that you or Garry Conn would like… I will connect with you on a screen share of my desk top… log into my back office of Worldprofit, show you what is there, the resources, tools and products, and my commissions and sales to date. Completely transparent! Why would I do this? … Dr. Lant nor Worldprofit need for me to be their public defender… rather because I have learned that often people form opinions based on a mis-understanding of the truth. So I have made the offer, just let me know if you accept.

Again Wayne, I respect you and enjoy your blog! Let’s not make this about you and me and I trust you will welcome my future visits and comments.

    Have a blessed weekend!

  • Wayne

No, I’m above all the trash as well. I want to quickly point out, that I’m not a marketer, I’m a programmer. One that can see through the smoke and mirrors and understand exactly how things are being done, and what the motivation behind certain things are.

Now, if things have changed on Lant’s systems, then perhaps he’s done away with some of the things that bothered me about it to call it into question and ultimately decide that it’s just another pyramid scheme. I’ll give you that.

But, if the system is still about people getting people to create a site to get more people to create a site, that will get more people to create a site that only serves to feed more people into the system, where the system is only about circling traffic round their own network of sites, and then call that traffic the free traffic push that is guaranteed to be given once you sign up, then it’s still not a system I’d call worthy of being alive.

I’m certainly not willing to pay nearly $100 just to see if the system is going to work, especially when

    A) You don’t get to keep the domain name
    B) Any claims of “free traffic” or “traffic push” is usually very low quality traffic
    C) You pay the same amount at a domain registrar and a host, and can then establish an unlimited number of domains, as well consume an unlimited amount of bandwidth.

For what? So you can have a page that features a person in a webcam that is supposed to help you close a sale? And again, what’s that sale? The sale is to get yet another person hyped up about building a website to bring even more people in….round and round and round.

It’s still very much a waste of money, and to me is aimed at fleecing those that really don’t know the Internet. Dr. Lant is taking their trust and money, and not providing enough back for it. IMO.

Maybe someday I’ll have time to watch a screencast or cam session.

Btw, I did approve your comments, I always do so long as they are not spam.

Cheers James! You’re a good guy…I just can’t see what you see with Dr. Lant, so I’ll take you up on your offer one day.

  • JamesHolmes

Wayne – Thank you for the additional thoughts and comments. A programmer? I didn’t realize that… a skill I do not have! Based on what I have read on your blog, I am certain that you are good at what you do and I sincerely look forward to getting to know you better and now learning more about your work as well.

Here is a snap shot of Worldprofit’s business model:

1.) Free Associates can become paid members on a month to month basis for $99.95 and they receive the “Silver Level Package.” The package is all inclusive with a website (you can use your own domain name and that is a BIG CHANGE as it allows you to keep it if you ever leave. I purchase my domain and .net about 2 years ago (when I looked at WP the first time) and had been using it for another program until now. So whatever happens the domains stay with me and that is an option for everyone.

As mentioned, Worldprofit has completely re-engineered their back-end sales funnel and most dealers make their money selling ClickBank Products and Master Resell products that are added to the Silver Package every month. In addition to a variety of automated SEO and traffic tools. So the income streams are new member referrals, over-rides on their sales, ClickBank direct sales, info product direct sales. I also know of a few member that use Worldprofit’s tools to market their other “primary businesses” in direct sales.

2.) The free traffic comes from a variety of sources, yes 2 of the 50 traffic sources are on safelist that Worldprofit owns and the other 18 are among the largest safelist and traffic exchanges in the Internet Marketing niche. Now I would agree that traffic from safelist and traffic exchanges are not if the quality of PPC, Ezine Ads or other forms of paid advertising – but I have had a lot of success using them for personal branding and list building over the past few years. I am very pro safelist and traffic exchanges, so this didn’t bother me. Members could always re-invest a portion of their earnings from Worldprofit into paid advertising methods.

I want to make one last comment on the 24/7 monitor network made up of other members… real people who have graduated from or are completing George Kosch’s Millionaire Bootcamp which is a step by step guided educated education program design to help newbie and intermediate marketers learn how to market ClickBank and create a personal brand. For those that choose to be monitors, this provides a chance for them to breakout of their comfort zone and if they apply themselves they really will learn how to succeed online.

I appreciate the exchange we have had and wish you the very best in your business and your life!

  • Wayne John

Now, if only Lant wasn’t so obnoxiously rude to new people. lol

Nice to hear of the changes. Perhaps I’ll go undercover again and see for myself one of these, when I have nothing to code up. :)

    Cheers James!

  • JamesHolmes

Wayne – I would hazard to guess for every person Dr. Lant is able to push, pull and motivate to break through and give themselves a chance, which is actually his intent… he offends one who will not give Worldprofit a chance, which is too bad. That is where the football coach analogy comes in… I remember a couple of guys that we could have used on our team who walked away from the team. It is a valid point that you raise here.

I spite of this the opportunity is real once a person gets through that storm!

  • Bert

I believe that he has great knowledge but he is not honest…he promisses are tricks…not all probably…he can spread the knowledge and make many with this but not over the people’s back…it can bring big success but at the end we will have all problem..because of such people we have the world like it is nowdays

  • JamesHolmes

    Hello Bert –

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to visit my site and post your comments. I am afraid that my personal experience and extensive due diligence on Worldprofit would cause me to disagree with your conclusions. Nothing in life is free and that is even more true online when it comes to business. You either have to invest financially or with time or both to achieve a true income online. There are skills you have to learn and methods of marketing you must master (to a degree). The Internet tends to reward the most to whomever does this best. The bottom-line is that anyone with an open mind, a willingness to learn, the ability to take action and patience can be successful at Worldprofit and create a true income. The world needs more pioneers, more achievers, more entrepreneurs!

I hope you stop by and comment often!

  • Chris

    Clickbank products? Seriously?
I’m a computer security professional. I looked through the selection of antivirus/antispyware products available from Clickbank, and every single one that I checked over several pages of products was a rogue.

It appears that Clickbank, at least in the computer software category, is simply a distribution hub for cyber criminals.

I won’t even bother checking anything else, because this entire category is doing nothing but promoting fraud. That’s enough to turn me off the entire thing.

If WorldProfit is promoting this crap, then they’re accessories to fraud, too.

  • JamesHolmes

    Hello Chris –

I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog and issue a post. I have been purchasing, using, and marketing ClickBank products for nearly 3 years without a single complaint. My focus is in the Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and work from home niches – I know nothing about the security niche.

Neither myself or anyone that I network with have voiced any security issues and I understand they complete on average 26,000 transactions per day.

As for Worldprofit, they have been online doing business with the same ownership group and the same base of operations for more than 16 years. This easily makes them among the oldest Internet commerce companies – having been founded in 1994.

I guess I am trying to say that I am comfortable with my partners and my recommendations here. In both instances they have proven themselves at a high standard.

I hope that you will come back often and share your thoughts.

    Have a blessed day!

  • Scott Manesis-Consultant

Like anything in life there are good and bad in all things. You do realize that Clickbank itself is not the vendor and that there are good vendors and bad vendors?

Your comment is full of ignorance. I honestly am not into the WorlProfit thing as the moment I came in and met the supposed pro closer who was going to close sales for me (like I am going to drop all my business and start promoting WP is kinda funny to begin with) was some older man who obviously is not making any money online, so he has to sit up at 3am making sure people spend 20 minutes to watch a video….loll. OK,

but back to clickbank…..dude….it happens to be the NUMBER 1 info product distributor on the internet. Calling clickbank a scam is the same as calling Google a scam, because you know there are an aweful lot of frauds and scams being done by sites that you can find on Google.

silly when you look at it that way isn’t it?

Hello Scott – I appreciate you taking time to visit and comment on my blog. However, I have no idea what you are referring to as it relates to ClickBank… I love ClickBank and it is a central part of Worldprofit’s system.

I have trained extensively on the subject and I think ClickBank represents a great opportunity for anyone interested in marketing information products. Now, there have been far too many “make $962,000 in 7 days” dupe programs, but that is not ClickBank itself.

As far as calling ClickBank a vendor, it is in fact a marketplace, so I am do understand the context in which you are using this.

Feel free to come back anytime and comment Scott and I will check out your site as well. Have a blessed evening!

P.S. As for Worldprofit, I have learned a ton, leveraged their automated tools to promote my primary programs, helped a few others get started, and I’m enjoying 15 months of uninterrupted profits and counting since joining May 12, 2010.
