I first became aware of Yaro Starak a little over two years ago and previously completed his Become a Blogger program which is co-presented with Gideon Shalwick. I have since studied and put into practice many of Yaro’s blogging principles and best practices. I owe much of my blogging success to what I have learned from Yaro and I have to tell you, his story is very inspirational!

I recently became aware of another blogger and video-blogger named Sean Gallagher who publishes the blog “Start Up Freedom,” which is a blog on the business of Internet Marketing. I recommend his site as it has plenty of great video interviews and other actionable content. As I was perusing Sean’s site, I came across this interview with Yaro Starak and it is so good that I wanted to share it with you here.

I have just posted a new article at Ezine Articles that share a quick story about how I discovered and have profited from “Turnkey Internet Business Systems” - there are some gems here. Back up your email account as a best business practice

I have a lesson from the field that will save you from losing access to your email if your domain host goes offline or another calamity visits your desktop. Here is what happened. I was working with one of my traffic services clients last night to help him get an e-commerce site online overnight in a pinch. So it was about one in the morning and we decided to transfer his DNS Settings for his domain to a new host and FTP the site. What we hadn’t considered is that his email would go offline until the transfer process was complete quoting 24 to 72 hours. The problem is that he is receiving between 30 to 50 new order per day through email – yikes!

So with every challenge come a solution and a new idea is born – right? So, I got to thinking, what if you set up a Gmail account that you could use as a fail safe for your primary email- you can set up the account and then make one simple adjustment to your primary email client. Log into your primary email account and edit your email profile by adding your new Gmail account address as a carbon copy address.

Now, every time you get an email one will also be sent to the Gmail back up account. If you have a mishap, system failure, or need an email that has been deleted from your primary account you simply log in to your back up account and retrieve your messages. Then all you have to do is log in there once or twice a month and purge the in-box.

There you have a free, reliable, user friendly way to add a little safety net and avoid that sinking feeling if your web host goes down or you pull a stunt like we did.

My Simple Formula

Isn’t It Time You Produced A Product?

One of the biggest mistakes I made with my online business was waiting so long to release a product of mine own.

The next mistake I made was taking so long to realize that a membership site is the best product to sell online.

Learn from my hindsight, commit to releasing a product this year and make it a membership site.

If you’re a blogger, then you are in a particularly good situation since you can use your blog as a launchpad for your membership site. Since you are already familiar with blogging tools like WordPress, which is what I use to store the content of my membership sites, you have another advantage.

You don’t need to have a blog to make this work of course, but if you’re into blogging and you’re going to create your own product, then this is definitely the best product-creation training to take since it’s created by a blogger (that’s me).
